Under the theme of “#Zero Carbon Economy,” Greenfiltec presented its solutions at Semicon Taiwan 2023. In addition to introducing the comprehensive AMC micro-pollution control solution, Greenfiltec responded to the growing trend of achieving “net-zero carbon emissions” in recent years. The company’s goal was not only to assist customers in creating clean environments but also to propose low-carbon solutions that are environmentally friendly.

This year, Greenfiltec focused on the concept of the “circular economy,” aiming to achieve sustainable net-zero goals through strategies such as reusing framework structures, reducing carbon emissions, and minimizing waste. Furthermore, Greenfiltec invested in offshore wind power underwater noise reduction technology, enhancing noise reduction efficiency while reducing costs and carbon emissions. The company continued to provide sustainable environmental solutions.

Key highlights showcased at the event included:

1. Low-carbon emission solutions: Greenfiltec is the world’s first AMC control provider to receive BSI certification ISO-14067 for carbon footprint assessment of panel-type chemical filters. This year, the company achieved localization of manufacturing and local supply chain establishment. This was accomplished through phases of localized production, low-carbon activated carbon sources, localized supply chains, and the substitution of low-carbon emission materials.

2. Waste utilization: By combining waste filters with solid fuel technology, Greenfiltec transformed them into wood-based RDF fuel rods suitable for efficient boilers, contributing to co-generation of heat and electricity.

3. High-temperature filters: The filters are designed to withstand temperatures up to 450 degrees Celsius, meeting the requirements for PM0.5 efficiency greater than 65% and 95%.

4. Underwater noise reduction technology: Utilizing novel noise-reducing composite materials, Greenfiltec achieved sustainable net-zero carbon emissions and coexistence with ecological conservation. The material’s reusability was confirmed through two years of underwater corrosion resistance testing, meeting environmental assessment standards.

5. Greenfiltec South Science Park Facility: The facility implemented MES systems, automated production lines, and various energy-saving and carbon reduction measures, such as solar power generation, rainwater harvesting, and ecological ponds, achieving green production.

In addition to the exhibition, Greenfiltec also participated in the SEMICON Taiwan-TechXPOT Innovation Technology Presentation, sharing insights on “Clean Environment: Chemical Filter Solutions for VOC Issues and Achieving Carbon Emission Reductions through Sustainable Approaches.” Industry experts were welcomed to attend and share your expertise.
