In order to fulfill the requirements of Corporate Governance Evaluation Indicator 2.27, Greenfiltec has implemented the Taiwan Intellectual Property Management System (TIPS) in 2023. We have established a systematic management system that closely links intellectual property management with company operations. Continuously, we develop intellectual property policies and objectives that align with the company’s operational and strategic development, benefiting the enhancement of Greenfiltec’s leading technology in AMC micro-pollution control. We are committed to achieving significant reductions in carbon footprint, moving towards becoming a global green enterprise, and actively supporting ESG through practical actions, thereby enhancing Greenfiltec’s competitiveness for sustainable development.

Protecting and Utilizing Research and Development Achievements
Control is implemented for the research and development process, starting from the pre-development phase. This includes conducting a risk assessment of intellectual property before research and development, documenting and retaining records during the research and development process, and establishing a review mechanism for research and development achievements at various stages before public disclosure. This strengthens the quality of research and development proposals and maintains the results of the technical development by the research and development team.
Patent Layout
Revised internal management measures related to patents to clearly define the procedures for patent proposals, evaluation, acquisition, protection, maintenance, utilization, and rewards. A list is established for the owned patents, and periodic inventories of intellectual property status are conducted to facilitate the enhancement of the quality and management of intellectual assets.
Protection of Confidential Information
Classifying company confidential information based on its sensitivity and establishing corresponding control measures. Strengthening personnel management from hire to departure to prevent the leakage of confidential information. Additionally, identifying information that meets the criteria for trade secrets as trade secret-protected information, enhancing operational efficiency while implementing risk control in company operations.
Intellectual Property Management Implementation Status
In November 2023, Greenfiltec submitted its Intellectual Property Management Plan to the 17th Board Meeting of the 4th Term. The key execution points for 2023 are as follows:
- TIPS Verification: Successfully passed the first TIPS verification, enhancing Greenfiltec’s internal intellectual property system control capabilities. The company received scores and additional points in corporate governance evaluations.
- Implementation of R&D Pre-search and Risk Assessment: Executed pre-search and risk assessment operations before research and development to prevent redundant development and infringement disputes. Comprehensive documentation of R&D content promotes intellectual property protection and serves as evidence for independent research and development. Established a pre-review mechanism for R&D results before public disclosure, reducing the risk of premature disclosure without review.
- Patent Status: Two patents were approved, and two new applications were submitted in 2023. As of the end of October, Greenfiltec has obtained 33 patent rights globally. The company diligently follows internal management procedures to regularly review and maintain its patent rights, maximizing the operational efficiency of the enterprise.
